New York-based rising duo Bad Bloom continues to make strides with the release of their new upcoming album ‘Leave’, with dreamy new single  ‘Tokyo’.

The fuzzy, ethereal track is released after the band’s strong debut in 2019, bringing a fresh spirit to the shoegaze/post-punk/indie rock genre.

Fatalistic yet optimistic, Kate Rogers’ lyrics reflect the idea of escapism. ‘It’s been difficult to break away from the monotony of life, and Tokyo – a city radiating with eclectic energy &

vibration - was the perfect place to take a daydream vacation ’ shares, Rogers. ‘We want our listeners to get lost in their thoughts and explore a sense of wonder through the music.’

In the summer of 2020, the track was recorded both in Brooklyn, NY, and remotely in Rochester, NY during the lock-down.

Spending two days in-studio and completing the tune via remote sessions, producer Michael Abiuso (Behind the Curtains Media) worked with Bad Bloom to fine-tune the track.

Bad Bloom has big plans for 2021, including the release of four additional songs on the new album ‘Leave’ and a tour in the latter half of the year. An accompanying music video for ‘Tokyo’ will be released later this month, and the song is now available on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, and all other major digital retailers.
